Clear Creek Bedroom Retreat

As we delve deeper into our projects this year, we are excited to share some inspiring insights from one of last year's standout endeavors, the Clear Creek Retreat. This project gave us the opportunity to seamlessly blend the allure of the outdoors with sophisticated, luxury finishes, creating an inviting yet elevated escape.

Our clients, also dear friends, approached us after the construction of their new home was underway to help finish and furnish their home and see their vision through. Having a strong understanding of their personal style made it a delightful challenge to marry their aesthetic with the stunning landscape of the Lake Tahoe area. Our goal was to create bedrooms that are not just functional but are serene sanctuaries, featuring soft textures, natural elements, and touches of the breathtaking scenery outside. Each of the three bedrooms was designed to resonate with the overall theme while boasting its unique personality.

From the beginning, we drew inspiration from the magnificent surroundings, focusing on layering rich, natural textures and earthy tones while incorporating refined details. Let’s take a closer look at each of the key spaces we designed:

The Primary Suite

The primary suite serves as a luxurious retreat for the homeowners. The room embraces a natural aesthetic but introduces a cozier vibe with a lighter, brighter palette. The soft upholstered headboard complements the plush bedding layered in neutral tones, while fluffy texture-rich accent pillows bring both comfort and visual interest. The darker nightstands give a pop to the aesthetic of the room. Subtle decor elements like greenery and ceramic accents carry the essence of the outdoors into the room without overwhelming it. The overall ambiance is warm and inviting, making it the perfect escape for all.

Guest Bedroom One

The first bedroom serves as a serene escape for guests. One of the standout features is the accent wall finished with stunning Serena & Lily wallpaper, which sets an upscale tone. A cozy reading nook by a beautiful bay window enhances the room's charm, offering a perfect place to unwind. The color palette of calming blues and grays was thoughtfully selected to evoke serenity. Textured shades add a layer of softness while filtering in the warm, natural light. We went with the same window treatments throughout all three bedrooms. The result is a peaceful space perfectly suited for relaxation after a day spent enjoying the lake.

Guest Bedroom Two

The third bedroom takes on a playful yet polished personality, with a balance between vibrancy and tranquility. Continuing the cohesive earthy palette, bold pops of green and blue are introduced through bedding, accent pillows, and the rug. The dark contemporary nightstands provide a contrast against the lighter walls, styled with minimalist decor elements such as books and greenery. The warm leather headboard grounds the space and helps the room come together.  The final result is both lively and yet cozy serene, creating a delightful space for guests.

Designing the bedrooms for our Clear Creek project was a labor of love that beautifully reflects the calm and splendor of Lake Tahoe. Each room is carefully curated to provide a unique retreat while capturing the essence of luxury modern mountain living.
