i should have seen it coming, honestly.
I’d be meeting corporate colleagues, but feeling distracted - desperately wanting to rearrange the furniture because the flow wasn’t right.
Or going to a friend’s house for coffee…and creating her an entire home palette because she casually mentioned hating how dreary her spaces felt.
So, I could tell you all about my first career in marketing and project management for The Walt Disney Company. Or the years I put it on pause to raise my children. But the truth is, the thing I was always obsessed with - the only job I wanted to return to - was one I’d been doing for as long as I can remember: helping people create beautiful spaces that felt good to be in.
All those years in project management gave me a ruthless attention to detail; a keen eye for potential issues and how to mitigate them; ability to juggle a million moving pieces. My years at home with my children? An intimate understanding of how a home’s design can elevate or hinder your experiences together.
So, after studying in the interior design program at Otis College of Art + Design, then in the UCLA Extension Certificate Program in Interior Architecture, I officially opened JKB Home Design.
Today, I get to channel decades of education and expertise into helping families across southern California and beyond reimagine their dream homes. With impeccable organization, a keen listening ear, and a genuine love of thrilling my clients, I streamline the design process so they can stop spinning their wheels and finally create spaces they truly love coming home to.

Even though I was born and raised in SoCal, the signature minimalism and midcentury style never felt like mine. Inspired by more traditional lines and classical silhouettes, I love fusing vintage pieces, color, and pattern to create layered spaces with soul.
